Albero Meda
Now living an working in Milan, Albero Meda was born in 1945 and soon to be one of the worlds greatest furniture designers. With a Masters in Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico of Milian where he studied in 1969. He then came to be a technical manager from 1973 to 1979 for Kartell.
Decided the 9-5 life was not for him, he become a full-fledged freelancer after exiting his role in Kartell, and working for various companies such as Alfa Romeo Auto along the years of 1981-1986 and become a lecture from the years of 1983 to 1987 at the Domus Academy which was an industrial technology specialised academy for bright young minds.

With his skills in mechanical engineering, Meda went on to create furniture design pieces that are featured still to this day in the ‘Musem of Modern Art’ in New York. This pieces included;
- “Light Light” Chair in 1987
- “Soft Light” Chair in 1989
- “On-Off” Lamp in 1988
- “Longframe” in 1993
Meda’s chairs we awarded the I.D design review – ‘Best of Category’ in 1997 and went on to win the ‘Good Design Gold Prize’ of Japan in the following year.
